Home Run Electric

Website, search & AI visibility launch.

Overview

Home Run Electric has handled commercial electrical work across Western Washington since 2003. They had no website, and new residential customers came only through referrals.

The goal was to grow residential and small business service calls, make emergency requests easy, and build a service line that increases the company's value.

The Home Run Electric home page on a laptop and a phone: a red emergency bar, the headline Western Washington's Trusted Electrical Experts, a Request Estimate button and a phone number, with a Your neighbors, your electricians panel.
Two clear actions up front: schedule service or request emergency help.

What I did

Strategy: discovery, competitive research, a PRD, and a prioritized 12-page inventory.

Answer engine optimization (AEO): Q&A-format tips and FAQs that answer the questions homeowners actually ask. They're backed by structured data and tied to HRE's license and credentials, so AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews can cite HRE as a trusted expert.

Home Run Electric "Electrical tips for homeowners" page on a laptop and phone: a list of common questions such as why a breaker keeps tripping and how to tell whether a home needs a panel upgrade, with one answer expanded.
Expert answers written for homeowners and AI answer engines alike.

Information architecture: separate paths for residential and commercial customers, with reusable service, city, and tips templates built for local search.

Residential and commercial paths, each linking to a dedicated service page.

Conversion design: one Contact & Scheduling page that combines booking, estimate requests, and emergency service. The emergency number is reachable on mobile without scrolling.

A Home Run Electric emergency services section on a laptop, a red band reading "Power out? Breaker tripping? Burning smell?" over a dispatch phone number, beside the mobile home page with a tap-to-call button.
The emergency number is one tap away.

Trust signals: 40+ years of the owner's successful career, a large service area, an A+ BBB rating, and certifications that show the work will be done right the first time.

Where they work and why to trust them.

Build: designed and built in React, Vite, and Tailwind using Claude Code, with Cloudflare Turnstile protecting forms from spam.

Pre-launch reviews: a security review plus SEO and AEO audits covering structured data, meta tags, and social sharing previews (OG images).

Google Business Profile: set up and optimized in June 2026, ahead of the site launch.

About

Hello, I'm Lisa.

I've been a UX director, strategist, and AI-native builder for enterprise-level companies with 1.5M daily users, for mid-size trades and nonprofits, and small, solo-founder companies across the West. At any scale I distill input into something that solves for the user and moves the business forward.

I live in the Sonoran Desert, which inspires me daily with its surface simplicity and underlying complexity. I'm grounded and nerdy: ask me about WCAG compliance or anything equestrian and you'll get the same enthusiasm. I'm most proud of raising a son full of gratitude and spoiling some very good horses.
